Sooo, where have I been?

Yikes. I didn't realize that it had been so long since I last updated.

Probably because I fell off the bandwagon. Again.

This whole losing weight thing, it really takes some willpower. I mean, I knew that, but seriously, more than I can ever give myself credit for.

The P90X workouts happened for about eight weeks again, but then travel and excuses got in the way.

About a month and half ago, we tried the Nike Training Club workout at 24 Hour Fitness, and that was pretty kick ass. In fact, my ass got kicked, royally. I highly recommend it. I think Dallas might be the test city for it, so if you are in DFW, go check it out. Brandace is one of the instructors and a friend!

So I downloaded the Nike Training Club app to my phone and tried a few of the workouts. It's like a do-it-yourself version of the 24 Hour Fitness classes. And if you are able to push yourself through the wall, these are excellent workouts.

My problem earlier this week was that I twisted/mildly sprained my ankle during one of the workouts - which prevented me from working out the rest of the week. RUDE! Stupid ankle. But yet another reason why I need to lose weight and strengthen my ankles.

I ordered The 4 Hour Body, after hearing success stories from people I actually know. So once the book arrives, I will be embarking on a 30-day adventure at least to begin with. I fully plan to track my progress here. Because I want to see if this can work for me.

Here's to losing my muffin top.
